AUTHOR'S BIO:

The second of three children, I grew up in a working-class neighborhood near Chicago. At 18 years of age, I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and moved across the continental United States before finally settling in Hawaii. I traveled extensively throughout the Pacific rim during my five years in the Hawaiian Islands, eventually returning to the Midwest in 1995. I now live with my husband and two children in a quiet farming community along Somonauk Creek. I have published numerous short stories and poems and was a featured artist at the “Art Around the Fox” fine arts festival in recognition of my published work.
