Frank McCrae's sister and parents have been murdered.  He's determined to prove the guilt of the person he knows to be the murderer.  Once a true crime writer, mystery author Crissa uses her skills to help collect evidence.  But as they draw closer to the truth and to each other, the danger to their lives escalates.  Crissa falls in love with Frank, but she suspects he is capable of murder.

In the middle of a hurricane, Frank realizes what he feels for Crissa, but his realization may have come too late--Crissa is missing.
